Questions montage.

What is your success rate with participants?

Our experience tells us that many of the easily collected, superficial measures of success do not provide sufficiently meaningful information.

For instance, new and prospective clients commonly ask about the average time it takes someone to gain a new role, assuming that quicker is better.

For the record, 94% of the participants who completed their career transition programs with us in the last 12 months gained new roles.

Whilst we do measure the time taken to secure a new role, in reality, there are many instances in which a role gained quickly is a poor career option.

Indeed, focusing on this as the primary outcome could result in consultants poorly supporting or advising their participants.

Comprehensive and meaningful measures of success are assessed through our continuous survey methodology:

Participant Survey

The findings allow us to pinpoint various weaknesses and areas for improvement as well as giving us valuable feedback regarding their overall satisfaction.

98% of participants would recommend APA to others undergoing career transition and/or would use APA if they were an employer.

Client Survey

Our biannual client survey assesses areas such as separation advice, reporting and invoicing.

96% of our clients agree that APA provides a high quality, reliable service and would recommend us to others.

Alumni Survey

We also survey ex-participants to find out more about their new position and what they found useful in the job search program.

76% of participants rated their new position as an improvement over their previous role.

Participant Focus Groups

We have a series of focus groups that concentrate on particular issues that are raised in the surveys above.

Number of Ex-Participant Clients

A strong measure of the success of our program is the long list of ex-participants who are now clients.

Balanced Scorecard

This rich set of measures is used as a Balanced Scorecard for us in assessing our own business success and to direct and motivate staff through our own bonus incentive scheme.
